How to survive comic-con, part deux.

A follow up from the previous section, this will cover the items you will need to bring when you attend Comic-Con. The main item you will need is a camera!

Capture all the iconic moments, people in costume and celebrities that will be there. And bring a spare (fully charged) battery.  One thing to remember when taking pictures of people in costume, asking them nicely. Don’t be the creepy person taking pictures from afar. The worst they might say is “no” and then you move on.

Another nice item to bring with you is a small portable chair for when you are waiting in lines (MTV gave them away at Comic-con this year). 

It's a good idea to have an autograph book with you when walking the floor and/or attending a panel, so if you happen to come across your favorite comic/manga author, they can draw you something special. :D

This is pointing out the obvious, but bring cash, I suggest around $ 180 - $260 (besides a credit card and also, call your bank beforehand in order to avoid having it blocked due to “suspicious” behavior).

 Having actual cash will help you in the case that the vendor only takes cash (it does happen), avoiding paying an extra 4 to 10% percent of the value of the item and in the case they have technical problems.

Probably one of the best ways to survive Comic-Con is to have your friends with you.

They make waiting in line bearable and make it not seem so long. Also, they can reserve a spot for you while you walk to see the main floor and vice versa. Another good reason for bringing friends is that you can split up and go to different vendors to obtain all the exclusive action figures at the same time. J

Una continuación de la primera parte, esta sección trata sobre  los artículos que necesitaras para cuando asistas a Comic-Con.

El principal, e imprescindible, artículo es… ¡una cámara!

Te servirá para capturar todos esos momentos especiales,  personas disfrazadas y  celebridades que te llegues a topar. Recuerda llevar contigo una batería extra (cargada). Algo para tener en mente  cuando retrates a personas en disfraz es pedirles permiso para poder  tomar la foto.  Algunos momentos son mejores que otros para el cosplayer. Lo peor que te pueden decir es  que no les tomes fotos.

Otro artículo que es bueno tener contigo es una pequeña silla portátil, siempre te servirá para las largas filas (por ejemplo MTV regaló ese tipo de sillas en Comic-Con 2015). 

Al caminar por el piso de exhibiciones o asistir a un panel,  siempre será bueno el llevar contigo un cuaderno de autógrafos para que tu autor/escritor/actor o celebridad favorita pueda dedicarte una firma o quizá el autor de tu comic/manga favorito te pueda dibujar un pequeño detalle es de lo más especial. :D

Parece lo más obvio, pero no olvides  traer dinero en efectivo contigo, yo sugiero entre unos $ 180 - $260, además  una tarjeta de crédito, siempre es bueno avisarles a los de tu banco sobre donde la vas a usar para evitar que te la bloqueen por “cobros irregulares”.

Esto te ayudara en caso de que vendedores sólo acepten pagos en efectivo (suele suceder); también  evitas que te cobren del 4 al 10% por ciento del articulo por usar tu tarjeta y cualquier caso de problemas  técnicos que te impidan usarla.

Probablemente una de las mejores formas de sobrevivir Comic-Con es el tener a tus amigos(as) contigo.

Ellos(as) te ayudaran a que esa fila interminable no parezca tan larga. Y también pueden ayudar a  reservar tu lugar en línea para que puedas explorar los demás lugares y viceversa.  Otra opción es que  se pueden separar,  así pueden  ir a diferentes puestos  y de esta manera obtener las figuras de acción exclusivas de más de un lugar al mismo tiempo J
