September 2015 Loot Crate - Summon

Sept. 2015 Loot Crate - Summon Theme

Remember when I was late with the August Loot Crate post? Well, I'm also late with the September post. Don't worry folks, I'm catching up! This month followed the recent trend of including less items, but the included items are of higher quality. I'm liking this trend as I rather not receive a large amount of crappy products. Here's a listing of what we got along with their manufacturer:
  • EXCLUSIVE - Supernatural 1967 Chevy Impala (Greenlight Collectibles)
  • Homer Simpson Golden Buddha (Kidrobot)
  • Pokemon Laplander Hat (Bioworld)
  • Summon Button (Loot Crate Labs)
  • Hearthstone Foam Stress Ball (Blizzard)
  • Hearthstone Collectible Coin and Card Pack Code (Blizzard)
  • LC Magazine including the Summoner Wars card game (Loot Crate)
I don't have a favorite this month but I would like to highlight a few of the items.

First, the Hearthstone coin since I play this game A LOT.

Hearthstone Coin
The Hearthstone coin is a near replica to what you use in game. In the game, the coin is flipped to see who goes first and it also becomes a card for the player that goes second. As you can see from the picture, it's slightly bigger than a quarter and it feels slightly heavier too. While this coin is only worth slightly more than a quarter, it's a real nice addition to my collection. The cardboard holder is pretty cool too, looks just like the chest you see in game. If you want to play Hearthstone, go here.

Second, the Homer Buddha.

Homer Buddha

Inspired from the "Goo Goo Gai Pan" Simpsons episode from (Season 16, episode 12), which I never saw, but would like to now! The Loot Crate version comes in all gold but you can purchase the regular version here. I really appreciate the fact that they included the pretzel and beads separately instead of attaching them to his hands with glue. Not gonna lie, would really like to own the regular version as well so I can compare it to the gold version I already own. I'm really digging the colors on the regular version. Either way, the gold version makes for a fun desktop toy. Two Thumbs up. Buy the regular version right here.

Disappointing item of the month goes to the Hearthstone Stress Ball.

Hearthstone Stress Ball
I really wanted to like this item but unfortunately I think it's useless. It's a nice novelty item but I really wish it was a functional stress ball. This must have been made for children hands because it's super squishy and requires no effort to crush this thing. I guess if it had been harder to crush, I'd be overusing this thing and diminish its collectible value. Maybe I can sell it on Ebay or give it to my cats.

Supernatural Lowrider for a super fan.

1967 Supernatural Chevy Impala
Finally, I'd like to give props to my coworker HH for adopting the Supernatural car as I would have stored this away in some random box and never saw it again. Just an fyi, I have never seen Supernatural nor do I plan to so this car is lost on me. Plus, I prefer my impalas with 2 doors not 4.

Finally (for reals this time), special mention to my soon-to-be niece Isabella who is the proud owner of the Pikachu beanie.

Well, that wraps up the September Loot Crate. For the most part, I enjoyed the offerings and hope to see the same quality items in October's loot crate, which has just arrived, so I promise to review those goodies as soon as I can. Here's hoping we get some cool stuff!

Let us know what you thought of September's Loot Crate in the comments.
