After 3 long years of not having a comic convention, San Diego Comic Con is back! So in preparation, we'll be compiling a list of must-see events and happenings before the big weekend, starting with Thursday. Links Below!

Top Panels on Thursday

Major Panel rooms: Hall H, Ballroom 20, Indigo, 6BCF, 6A

Hall H

Masters of the Universe Kevin Smith is in this one and he always puts on a good show.

Ballroom 20

Inside Severance trippy show and probably a trippy panel too.

Beavis and Butt-Head Do Comic-Con Mike Judge will be at this one!

Indigo

Abbott Elementary Funny show and probably a funny panel to go to.

Vampire Academy If you like vampires, you'll like this. This is right after the Abbott Elementary panel so if you're already there, may as well stick around for this.

6BCF

SpongeBob SquarePants: Dive into SpongeBob Universe! More Nostalgia and these guys always put on a good show. The voice acting part of these panels is always lots of fun.

6A

Gundam: The Witch from Mercury You like giant robots? If so, you gotta go.

Conan the Barbarian 90th Anniversary Conan is cool, attend if you can!

The Wheel of Time Origins New animated series that will go well with the show.

Honorable Mentions from other rooms

Celebrating 50 Years of Jim Starlin, this dude has been around comics for a long long time. I'd suggest attending and celebrating this artist/writer. You can't go wrong with the guy who created Thanos, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora and Shang-Chi. Go to this!

Podcasting 101 If you're even remotely thinking about starting your own podcast, attend this.

Writing Tales of Horror and Suspense For people that like to write scary stories. Should be a creepy good time.

Roddenberry Panel Trekkers Unite!

More to come...

What I Learned at Comic Con 2018 Part 2

This is part 2 of a 3 part series highlighting my experience at this year's San Diego Comic Convention. I'll briefly cover panels, exhibition hall and happenings from Thursday through Sunday.

Friday was good, still very crowded but panels were still very accessible.
My top three favorite panels for Friday were Voltron, World of Capcom and Mobile Film Making.

Spoilers ahead if you haven't finished the Voltron Netflix series!!!!

What I Learned at Comic Con 2018 Part 1

This is part 1 of 3 part series highlighting my experience at this year's San Diego Comic Convention. I'll briefly cover panels, exhibition hall and happenings from Thursday through Sunday.

Thursday
I made the decision to prioritize panels above all else this year. I kept a strict schedule and attended as many panels as I could throughout the weekend. I wish I had time to talk about every single panel but instead I'll highlight my favorite moments and announcements.

My favorite panels for Thursday were a storytelling panel, a Mega Man panel and two Transformers panels.

Friday Panels Best Bets

The panels below are your best bets if you want to have a good time and not have to wait in line for 6 hours on Friday. You will have a much better chance to get into the following panels than a panel being held at the bigger halls. If you have any recommendations, please share in the comments.

This is one of the finest remakes I've ever experienced. I highly recommend this show and recommend you go to this panel.

If you're into making your own comics, this panel will surely be valuable to you. Go and turn your iPad into a portable art studio.

If you can get tickets to this, please go! If not, see below.

Best Backup Plan

If you're ready to go to another dimension, this should be on your to-do list. Check it out!

Thursday Panels Best Bets

The panels below are your best bets if you want to have a good time and not have to wait in line for 6 hours on Thursday. You will have a much better chance to get into the following panels than a panel being held at Hall H. If you have any recommendations, please share in the comments.

San Diego Comic Con 2018 Gear

Comic Con has come and with it another chance to improve on our gear list from last year. I tried my best to pack light which can be hard if you want to be prepared for most situations. Some big changes from last year, different lighter laptop, different sturdier backpack and slightly upgraded phone. A lot of these items are must haves and I would suggest every convention attendee bring them along (especially the toiletries) but not everything on here will apply to you.

San Diego Comic Con 2017 Highlights and Reflections

The 2018 San Diego Comic Convention is fast approaching. In order to get you hyped for the exciting events coming up, we'll be starting a blog series as we countdown to San Diego Comic Con 2018!

What a better way to start than by reviewing my experiences from last year's convention!

Days before last year's Comic Con, all I could think about were the dense crowds and the long queues I would have to deal with. The thought of having to squeeze through all those people just to have to wait in a line for 2 hours for some measly poster, made me feel unhappy. I was not excited at all and I was not looking forward to attending. And sadly, I had no money, did not have an itinerary planned out and my usual crew was one man down.
